Pomegranate is a vibrant and innovative non-profit organisation, founded by Sophie in January 2025 to meet the growing demand for emotional wellbeing and mental health support in the local community.

Our team is made up of passionate professionals dedicated to using the arts to facilitate healing and growth.

Founder & Director
Sophie Riga De Spinoza
Sophie is a qualified integrative psychotherapist, music therapist, creative arts supervisor, and musician. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked therapeutically across all stages of life—from early childhood to end-of-life care—supporting individuals, groups, and families.

Director
Laura (Bassingthwaighte) Hubbard
Initially a Secondary School Drama teacher, Laura went on to train as a Dramatherapist, Clinical Supervisor and attained her Forest School Level 3 qualification. Her vision is to combine both nature and therapy within one form and she offers client lead sessions for children, young people and families in natural settings.

Associate Community Musician
Jayne Head
Jayne is a music teacher with over fifteen years experience working across primary, middle and secondary schools. She is passionate about delivering high quality musical education and creative opportunities to all young people, starting with baby and toddler groups in the community. As a flautist, Jayne has performed in various ensembles from jazz bands to orchestras and now performs as part of Trio Asteri.

Commercial
Katherine Manning
Katherine began her career at IBM in business operations. She quickly rose to troubleshoot major outsourced accounts for The AA, DEFRA, and Lloyds TSB but then left the corporate world to set up and run her family’s ice cream business. She brings her extensive commercial and operational expertise to Pomegranate.

Marketing
Sarah Stacey
Sarah is the heart of the marketing engine for Pomegranate. She brings with her a wealth of experience as a retail owner, and has a strong background in digital media.
